We know that you care how information about you is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust that we will handle your information carefully and sensibly. This Privacy Policy describes the way that we collect and handle your information.

By visiting the Recessipedia or submitting your personally identifiable information to us, you accept the terms described in this Privacy Policy. From time to time we may revise this Privacy Policy. The new provisions will be effective as soon as they are posted. Please check this page periodically to ensure that you are aware of any change. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into the User Agreement that governs the use of the Recessipedia.

Information We Collect

We collect two types of information: (1) personally identifiable information that you voluntarily submit to us and (2) anonymous information that is automatically collected from all visitors to the Recessipedia.

Personally Identifiable Information. When you register with the Recessipedia, we will collect personally identifiable information from you such as your name, Email address, phone number, fax number, company, and postal address, if necessary.

Anonymous Information. Besides personally identifiable information, we also automatically collect IP addresses and Web site usage information from all our visitors when they visit the Recessipedia. This information is anonymous and we do not link it to the personally identifiable information that you submit.

Cookies. We collect the anonymous information through the use of cookies. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your web browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser. Most Internet browsers will let you disable cookies, but if you do so you may not be able to use the "remember password" and other features.

How We Use The Information We Collect

We use the personally identifiable information you voluntarily submit to us to track contributions and edits to articles on the Recessipedia.

We use the anonymous information we collect automatically to evaluate how our visitors use and navigate the Recessipedia on an aggregate basis, including the number and frequency of visitors to each web page and the length of their visits.

Sharing Personal Information

We share personal information only with the companies that help us maintain (such as changing the content of the Site and providing hosting services or maintenance). These companies use your information only for the purpose of providing these services to us.

We may disclose and use personally identifiable information in special circumstances when it is necessary to enforce our User Agreement or this Privacy Policy, or when we, in good faith, believe that the law requires us to disclose your personal information to third parties.

Except as set forth in this Privacy Policy, we will not share your personally identifiable information with any third party unless we first notify you and offer you a choice to opt out.

Children

The personally identifiable information we collect about you is stored on a secure, password-protected servers. Only authorized personnel have access to your information. We use Secure Socket Layer software, which encrypts information you input. Despite our best efforts, no transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Therefore you provide us with your information at your own risk.

Transfer to the United States

If you are located outside of the United States, please note that the information you provide to us will be transferred to the United States and that by registering with the Recessipedia you consent to this transfer and the storage of the data in the United States.
